Well now, hasn't the world truly become an interesting place to be. It has been a while since I posted a blog on here, figured no time like the present to try to get using it more.
I currently don't know from one day to the next if I will be allowed to stay open, but so far I'm still open(still have my bills to pay) and taking precautions to minimize risk further. We're a low risk because we're just a small shop without a lot of traffic, and of course now very minimal traffic, but we're still using Anti-Viral sprays in between customers and smudging the store with white sage often. I may decide to temporarily reduce hours if I am allowed to remain open, if I do so I will post that on Facebook, I'm going to give it another day or two before making that decision. Some think we might get news in the next couple of days here in Alberta that all non-essential businesses will have to close, so before that happens I wanted to let you all know what I have still in stock that will help for those of us that like to use our natural and herbal ways to boost our immune systems and help prevent getting sick. If I am made to close I will not be available for you to purchase these at that time unfortunately unless I can do mail orders as I think the Post Office will remain open, but again, nobody knows from one day to the next. I'm not a Doctor, Naturopath, or Herbalist, so I personally am not allowed to make recommendations, so these recommendations are actually taken from one of my go-to's Dr. Axe. If you go to his website you will find all kinds of natural health solutions. Some Anti-Viral herbs recommended by Dr. Axe and others when you google it are: Herbs we have in stock: ~ Echinacea ~ Calendula ~ Astragalus ~ Licorice Root ~ Lemon Balm ~ Ginger ~ Green Tea Others that we don't carry or are out of stock on, a couple of them should be in your spice cupboard already: ~ Garlic ~ Turmeric ~ Oregano ~ Elderberry ~ Cat's Claw ~ Olive Leaf New to using herbs and don't know what to do? It's easy! Make tea with them. Yep, it's that simple! There are other things you can make with them, but why complicate it? And of course some of them are herbs we already use to cook with, I have actually increased my use of garlic recently. Other recommendations are to take your Vitamin C and D, Meditation, get plenty of sleep, and moderate exercise. And of course, wash your hands! I am getting low on Essential Oils again, but I do still have some in stock if you need anything let me know what oil you're looking for and I'll let you know if I have it(I'm trying hard to keep the website up to date). A big thing during these crazy time is to just keep calm, stressing ourselves out is hard on our immune systems. My current favourite way to stay calm and relax(besides a snuggle with my Grandbaby ♥) is to get comfy with my cats, light some incense, and either read or watch videos on anything happy and positive! Come and stock up on incense and choose a new book or two from our book selection to help get you through these trying times. Please, do not come to the store if you are at all feeling ill, have recently been at a large gathering of people, or have recently been yourself or in contact with anyone who has returned from an overseas trip. So far I am still allowing people to come into the store, but I am also taking orders not only for mail order off the site as usual, but for curbside pick up as well. Mail orders and curbside pick up can be ordered off the website, curbside pick orders can also be placed through me directly via email at mysticrebelcanada@gmail.com if you would like to pay by etransfer. Please everyone, stay healthy, stay safe, and stay happy! Blessings, Jolene
